Why we exist
Pornography has become one of the most influential forces shaping modern attitudes towards sex, relationships, identity and wellbeing. Yet despite its reach, it remains one of the least understood and least discussed issues facing individuals, families, schools, workplaces and communities today.
Elephant in the Room was founded to change that.
We believe meaningful conversations begin with understanding. By bringing together leading experts, compelling personal stories and evidence-based research, we equip people to engage with this issue thoughtfully, confidently and without judgement.
The name is intentional. Everyone knows the elephant is in the room, but few feel equipped to talk about it. Our mission is to provide the knowledge, resources and confidence to start the conversation.
Our approach
We don’t tell people what to think. We present the research, explore the realities, share lived experiences and create space for informed discussion, helping people understand the impact of pornography on individuals, relationships and society, and make informed decisions for themselves and those they influence.
